If you follow the ISS45 installation guide, you must change the setting in POS_SRV_MANAGER to log on using (This account and use Administrator and set the password). In Window2000 Server you get the following error when stating the service: Could not start the POS_srv_manager service on Local Computer. Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. See Service1.jpg The POS_srv_manager will display the status starting until you shutdown the computer. See Service2.jpg When the computer is restarted it will hang and the service will not start. The work around to this problem is to go into the Services screen, click on POS_SRV_MANAGER and click disable in the profile. The next reboot will come back up and you can set the Service POS_SRV_MANAGER to start using Local System Account and Enable in profile. Restart the computer again and the service will start. We first saw this problem when we tested Window2000 Professional Edition. Yuval indicated that they fixed this problem in Version 8 and had something to do with the way the service got installed from ISS45 installation. CATEGORY: Operating Systems |

V7.0.8.3_53, with a Windows 2000 operating system and no keyboard or mouse attached to the post plus full touch the cursor arrow does not display. If you plug in the mouse the cursor arrow will appear again. With Windows XP this is not true. The cursor arrow is always present. On a full touch system having the cursor arrow showing all the time is an annoyance to the cashier. The cursor arrow should not be present once the mouse is detached, but is required once the mouse is reattached. Also a problem in V8.0.6_53, see bug 1906. CATEGORY: Operating Systems |

Make sure you do not have the parameter turned on to forgive tax on vendor coupons if food stamp tendered. Ring in a taxable item, scan a coupon for 1.00 and food stamp tender. Customer has to pay tax on coupon. This is correct. Ring in a taxable item, scan coupon for a 1.00, ring in NON tax items over 1.00 and tender with Food Stamp. The tax is forgiven. Bottom line is, if NON tax items add up to MORE than the coupon, the tax is forgiven. Should not be forgiven since parameter is turned OFF. CATEGORY: Tender |

There is a discrepancy between the value contained in the tlog for both active time on the register and time signed on, and the value showing in the reports. The reports appear accurate, because of computations being done on the tlog values, however we will now perform those calculations prior to sending them in a time transaction, so the tlog exactly matches the report output for these values. Note: need to remove the calculations done in the report itself: |
| WD 5240 |
U-Scan - There are times when the tender key is pressed in direct mode where the tender type selected is not defined. This seems to happen whenever a transaction is begun in direct mode, then sent to the robot, then sent back to the attendant in direct mode. If the total key is pressed at the robot, then resent back to the attendant station, the tendering seems to work properly. This can cause a lot of confusion for the attendant and consumer and must be fixed. Prism# 16447 Scenario: 1) Restart WinPOS. 2) Buy an item via U-Scan. 3) Go to assist mode. 4) Exit assist mode without doing anything there. 5) Enter assist mode again. 6) Press ENTER on the WinPOS screen (a numpad must be displayed for that). |

Select "Search By" and choose "POS Number" 9. Enter the post number you used to ring up the orders 10. | WD 5269 | U-Scan - could not get a WIC
transaction to complete. This is because ALL WIC transactions must be
started at the attendant station, then transferred to the robot. When
tendering a WIC transaction, the robot will call the attendant, but we
could never tender the order. We would receive and error message of
"Tender not defined." We believe this is related to other transactions
that are begun at the attendant station, then sent to the robot, then sent
back to the attendant station for tendering CATEGORY: U-Scan |
