1146 WinPOS Only - In coupon printing the logic for FOUND / NOT FOUND ITEMS in a transaction works properly, If you want to print a coupon if the customer doesn't buy the item and not print the coupon if they do buy the item this works OK. The logic for  FOUND / NOT FOUND DEPARTMENTS in a transaction does not work properly, If you want to print a coupon if the customer doesn't buy anything in the specified department and not print the coupon if they do buy something in the specified department the system will print the coupon every time.

There is a RETURN_SLP in the templates to be used for this function, but it does not work. Bottom line is the return slip does not print. This was an added feature some time back. This is also a fault for 7.6 # 678

Note: Returns screen 1,6,2 drop down states 4 types of refunds 1) transaction 2) general 3) specific item 4) linked item. The Return Slip is designed to ONLY print with transaction none of the others.

If using Departments as the trigger for printing coupons, it does not work. You get the coupon every time. Found or Not Found both do not work. All others seem to work fine. (Ticket Amount, Minimum purchase and Items, Found or Not Found)

Cashier Performance Report calculations are not correct on V770_53, V771_50 and V762_07.  Depending on the registration time and sign on time the scan per min and other calculations are wrong on this report.

Cannot change the POST number through the Tech Start Menu, the system doesn't reboot after you press the second ENTER it just stays on the screen. The POST number is changed in the DRVFILE Parameters and if you restart the POST it will come up with the  POST number you entered however the NETWORK TCPIP Properties are not changed.

NOTE: This fault is fixed for NT no OPOS drivers and Win2000 no OPOS drivers. (Win2000 with OPOS drivers open fault 1273)

NOTE: 92R keyboard if you do this you start in key position 5 and then drop to key position 4 and all will be well. Teamkey I start position Z and drop to position X.

The Problem occurs when we insert the check to have the account number read into the system. It pulls the check through like normal and stops. The Display shows balance due and allows us to tender the sale with cash(I have not tried other tenders - they should work). I have tried to tender with check a second time with the same results. When we enter the account number in manually the transaction works perfect. I have tried these transactions and variations of these transactions numerous times.
Note: replicated in Santa Clara only by 'folding check' over on account number or scraping one of the numbers off the check.

1198 Random weighed items - not calculating properly. Example - it an item is priced at 1 lb @ $1.97 and the bar code price is $1.49 the POST calculates the weight as .7563. .7563 x $1.97 = $1.49 but the system has rounded up the .7563 to .76 x $1.97 and charges $1.50 - off by a penny too much. 1-Mar-2002
1213 Cashier Performance Report shows 50% of actual items scanned. It is unclear if the algorithms are correct for idle time, scan time, key entry time, items per minute etc. Need the math checked and the report revamped for accuracy. Duplicate of 1184 1-Mar-2002

In the DOS system - when you have a completed receipt - the item count shows next to the Balance Due line on the receipt. In WinPoS this item count is no longer printed or shown.

Duplicate of 1240

Note: new parameter added screens 6,1,3,12 line 11.  Print total items on receipt - you have three choices: None, with Balance Due or a separate line on the receipt.

1221 Create two UPCs... 6 10290 00140 and 33383 60500.  I have no idea if the UPC values matter.  I created them with very minimal values.  Then create Member Promotion #2, and make the promo #   ** 102 **.  If you do not make the promo number 102 it will not lock up.  I haven't played
with various settings in the promo, but it's set up for a buy one get one free scenario for scheme 1 members.

Ring the first UPC (6 10290 00140 - the one without the promo), then ring the UPC with the promo.  The second item doesn't register on the screen and WinPOS is locked.  I printed bar codes and scanned them.  I haven't tried it by hand entering the UPCs.

Somehow the promo # on the second item (102) confuses a function in the WinPOS code when the previous item (immediately previous, or just previous?) has a 102 in it.  From our limited observation it only happens if the UPC starts with zero, six or seven.  You all will have to investigate the code based on the information in these emails.  I think there is now enough information to begin code review.

1223 V7.7.X - at one time it was intermittent that check template files once changed required that the WinPos be cold started in order for the changes to get to the POST. However, this situation is becoming more critical as every time you make template changes the reboots are required thereby messing the NRT totals in the system. 1-Mar-2002
1226 WinPos/Epson - if you have an extra long business check or gift certificate - when trying to read through the MICR - the printer just stops and hangs. It appears that the ISS45 is timing out as it cannot read the account number as soon as the application seems to think it should.

Partial fix: If you put the check in at the time the system requests it will work every time if you put the check in the reader (get a green light) BEFORE you have started the order it will still fail and drop to the desktop.

1228 WinPos works correctly - but in DOS if you have the same check number but with a different bank routing number - the system will stop and treat as a bad account. It should process normally as a new account because the back routing number is different. 1-Mar-2002
1235 DOS only - if parameter screen 1-6-8 (page 2) turn on bit to print check number on receipt - then the Axiohm 7156 MICR will NOT read and checks at all. If bit tuned off MICR will read but you cannot print check number on the receipt. 1-Mar-2002
1240 For years DOS systems would show the number of items rung in an order to the left of the balance due line on a receipt - this display of item count does not occur in the WinPos system.

1277 Concord payments - POST goes offline while waiting for Concord response - this results in a POST offline ALERT (if alert is set) and interrupting the messaging between the MFS and the POST for maintenance. 1-Mar-2002
