SILPROC.EXE SIL issue -Batch Data is wrong. Cleared out the host directory on my system and ran the SIL process. It created 112 batches as expected, all fine. Re-ran the procedure, not deleting anything. I had 224 batches. Again. 336 batches. It seemed to be working as it should, incrementing the batch number to a free batch. Deleted a range from host100.btr -> host199.btr Ran the process again and I ended up with an incorrect # of batches. Then deleted host batches; host??1.btr host??2.btr host??5.btr (batches are never completely sequential at a store) Than ran the process again. More trouble. One easy way to tell there is incorrect data in the batches is to bring up create/edit batches and sort on the batch description. It places the batch # the host wants as the batch description and you can see many batches with same description, but different |

SMWARC.EXE Checking for the Archive bit on the file attributes when archiving EFT log files, causes files not to be archived when the store is using the back up from the operating system. The EFT log files not making it into the nightly archive file are being copied to the server from the register after the archiving into the zip file is complete. This would be fine and the files would be added to the next night's zip file, but a system backup is being performed using the backup provided with the operating system and as it archives, it marks all the files with the archived attribute. When SMWARC runs if the EFT log file is marked as archived, it is not archived into the nightly zip file. |
