U-Scan  -  When tendering a food stamp transaction on the U-Scan, the system is charging for tax if an item is (Food stamp and taxable).

Scenario:

1. Ring a soda that is (food stamp and taxable) 99 cents.

2.Total the order.

3.Select EBT as payment type.

Expected Results:

Total for transaction should be 99 cents. The change if 1.00 is received would be .01 cents.

Actual Results:

Total for the transaction is 1.05 (assuming 6% sales tax). If 5.00 is received the change delivered is 3.95 but the receipt shows change to be 4.01

It appears that the receipt is correct, but the U-Scan is not returning the change that the receipt is showing.

Invalid Dept Message not handled by U-Scan translator

When ScanMaster presents an 'Invalid Dept' Message, U-Scan should press clear and issue an unknown item error.

Scenario:

1. Enter an item in Item Maintenance.

2. Use Department Maintenance to delete the department assigned to the new item.

3. Sell the item on the U-Scan. 

Expected Results:

U-Scan should send a CLEAR key to ScanMaster and treat the item the same as it treats an unknown item.

Actual Results:

No CLEAR key is sent to ScanMaster, causing the 'Invalid Department' message to not go away.  System gets out of sync unless direct mode is entered and the clear key is pressed manually.

SM2USCO.EXE

Bad or Expired Card message not properly handled by U-Scan.

Using a bad or expired debit/credit/EBT card needs to have a clear key sent to clear the error message on ScanMaster.

Scenario:

1.  Attempt to pay for an order on the U-Scan with an expired credit card.

Expected Results: The U-Scan should print a decline slip and immediately return to the enter tender screen.

Actual Results:  U-Scan prints the decline slip and returns to the enter tender screen only after cashier intervention.

Register Error Log is recording credit card numbers and expiration dates.

Scenario:

1. Tender an order on the lane

2. The register will freeze or lockup

3. The transaction does not go through and gets a timeout error

Expected Results:

 To record the error with the credit card number being masked and the expiration date to be 'x'd out or masked in any way

Actual Results:

The error log is populated with both the credit card account number and the expiration date and the sale amount
