Gift Card and Tender Credit Media not supported in the Media Name file.

The Problem : Gift Card and Tender Credit Media not supported the Media Name file (MDNM).  The cashier report creates this file daily when it creates the CTXT file.

SM2EJ.EXE, SM2SYSCF.EXE

The Electronic Journal  processor does a nightly rebuild of the EJ tables to help ensure their integrity and this is causing a problem when customer needs to access this data base

Scenario:

1.End of day process starts EJ rebuild

2.Large data base causes this process to take hours to complete

3.Customer can't access data base when process is occurring

4.Option needed to gear when said rebuild is to occur

5.No option is available

6. Not related to backup of files that occur on nightly basis

Expected Results: Customer needs to access data base as needed

Actual Results: Customer can't access data base due to length of time it takes for rebuild

U-Scan sending cash tender when ScanMaster not in tender state.

A customer rung up an item for 2.99 +tax and another 2.99 +tax and voided 1 of the items leaving 3.17 balance.

He put .17 cents in and then a $5 bill.

U-Scan took the $5 but ScanMaster did not register the initial $5 bill and 17 cents. 

Opened the cash acceptor and the $5 was on top (it did have some clear tape on the bill). Reinserted the $5 and the U-Scan said $5.00 paid, change $1.83. There were 2 ones and a five below. 

After a review of the logs it was determined U-Scan recognized $10.17 was inserted which is why $7 change was given. ScanMaster only showed $5 accepted and no change accepted. After reviewing the logs ScanMaster was not in a tender state when the initial $5.17 was sent from U-Scan.

U-Scan needs to handle Dynamic Customer Build request from ScanMaster.

When the Dynamic Customer Build option is enabled and a customer scans an 04 card number that is not in the customer file, ScanMaster will prompt whether to have the customer number dynamically added to the customer file. 

The response to this prompt is CLEAR for No and ENTER for Yes.  When this prompt is presented, the U-Scan should require cashier intervention to respond to this question in direct mode rather than allowing the customer to approve their own card scan.

The SCOTCTRL.DAT file will need to make this option blank so that the ScanMaster configuration editor can enable or disable this option rather have it hard coded disabled.
