WG2.EXE Buffering CLEAR keys on POS while Getting Signature. The Problem :Buffering CLEAR keys while Getting Signature. Using WinEPS and Signature Capture with System Configuration "Cashier Verify Elec Signature = Y". If the cashier hits the CLEAR key while the customer is signing the PIN pad (while the POS shows "Getting Signature" - default MTX text), the POS is retaining those CLEAR keys so that when the customer is done, the Verify Signature screen is answered immediately by each of those buffered CLEAR keys. This results in the screen simply flashing the signature and causes the system to Redo the signature. WinEPShas been tracking this issue as seeing the MTX_POS_RedoSignatureCapture function call as soon as the signature data is delivered. They didn't realize CLEAR key buffering was in play. NOTE: The cashier may be hitting CLEAR attempting to abort the process but cannot. This is as designed. Scenario: 1.System Configuration "Cashier Verify Elec Signature = Y". 2.Tender Credit 3.Press CLEAR key(s) while customer is signing pad and POS shows "Getting Signature" 4.Customer accept signature. Expected Results: Cashier sees Verify Signature prompt and can accept it. Actual Results: Cashier sees Verify Signature prompt flash and redo signature capture in a loop that iterates for each CLEAR key that was pressed while waiting for the customer to sign. |
