Checks act as Cards on bad MICR.  There are two manifestations of this problem. That POS was on WinEPS. If the TAC sequence for checks purchase had "Secondary ID, Secondary ID TYPE and State Code" (S7W) a check wouldn't go out for approval. Instead, the POS would lock up into an endless loop without instructive text on the screen. The POS needed to be rebooted.

Next change the date on Server/POS or delete that entry in the EJ movement file and run another transaction but change commodity code to 11111 which does show correctly in EJ movement file. (Once record for that item is written for a date the commodity code will not be updated by design)

992 DataBar Coupon giving most expensive item away free.

When scanning a coupon labeled, "Buy 2 Get 1 FREE",  the DataBar Engine, which is deployed in multiple Retalix products, should be restricted to items with the Company Prefix of "23400" but it appears as if any three items will satisfy the requirements for this coupon and the coupons value will be of the most expensive item in the sale- even if they're not from the same manufacturer. I had it work if I scanned two boxes of cereal (38000-14910) and a case of root beer (49000-03108).

WD 313712

Add code to the timer control to periodically refresh the label caption that shows when the last EOD was completed.  Stores running the auto EOD. It looks like Sm2login is running when the auto EOD is completed which updates the lastz file info. Currently Sm2login only reads the last EOD data when it is loading so if the info changes without restarting sm2login, the last EOD information is incorrect.

WD 313716

Add logging to the error.log file when the EOD fails to copy some files.

WD 313723

Memory resource issues as the EJ is processing TLogs.  Through task manager it can be seen that available memory being consumed rapidly and this would eventually cause problems.

     WD 313725

Add option to stop the EJ processor during EOD. Currently the EJ only pauses operation during the EOD and we are seeing that memory resources can be recovered by stopping the EJ.

WD 314130

Change the verbiage on the information message that appears if some files fail to copy during end of day.

Currently a message box will appear the first time a user logs in after an EOD if there was a problem copying .BTR files during the EOD. It will say something like "Error(s) occurred in EOD File Copy " + vbNewLine +139+ " of " + 140 + " copied" + vbNewLine + "Contact Support". Prior to this version, the EOD program didn't log which file(s) weren't copied and this has caused support calls which can be time consuming trying to figure out which file(s) weren't copied. Ref TD#313716 - Change Sm2EOD to log to the error log the file name(s) of .btr files that fail the EOD copy. The "Contact Support" is being replaced with "See Error log on the EOD PC for details!"

WD 314185

Manually entered Credit cards are not reporting to the correct tender bucket.  The store will balance vs MTX as far as the grand total but whatever the manually entered amount is it will report to an incorrect bucket, ie. manual Visa will go to MasterCard. MasterCard may go to Discover etc. Manual Food Stamps don't seem to be affected. When the card is entered manually the ScanMaster EJ will show the Acct# as N/A on the tender line.

WD 315592

WD 317399

Check cashing signature slip indicates tender type Charge.

when cashing a check if print signature slip option is yes under checks non-EFT found in the POS media cfg. the signature slip indicates that the tender type was charge. It also gives language at the bottom of the signature slip about the "card holder" that doesn't make sense when connected to a check cashing transaction.

Scenario: POS media cfg. Checks Non-EFT Print Signature Slip set to Yes
1. customer bring payroll check to register
2. cashier presses - down arrow, cash check, payroll check, enters amount,

WD 324211

Signing on to the POS causes an initialization of the MTX Payment Terminal and this can take a few minutes depending on what configuration MTX may have waiting for that terminal. When going into Idle Mode, this same Sign-Off / Sign-On command is used (MTX_POS_CheckerSignOn) and the delay when coming out of Idle Mode is undesirable. (Retalix Global Payments) informed us that there is a different command that will disable the terminal but will cause the return from Idle Mode to be much quicker (MTX_POS_DisplayIntervalMessage). The POS should be changed to use this new method of disabling the terminal during Idle Mode while retaining the old method when doing an actual cashier Sign-On / Sign-Off.

WD 324392

Saved signature distorted when captured using VeriFone MX870 pin pads.
