Connected Payments and WinEPS Compatibility Matrix for ISS45 and ScanMaster

The matrix below outlines the ISS45 and ScanMaster release compatibility with WinEPS and OpenEPS releases that have been certified by Retalix.

In general, new WinEPS/OpenEPS versions will be downward-compatible with earlier versions of the POS software - not counting, of course, new WinEPS features that may not be supported or available in the earlier POS versions.  However, it is normally preferable to match the versions as certified below

Please note that releases will not be reported here if there are no changes.  See the release notes for required updates - some releases require a corresponding compatible release.

• Signature Capture receipt will be changed to remove the Signature Line and replace with Signature Captured Electronically

• ISS45 - When the Interval message/Idle Lock is called we lock the MSR which prevents a customer, either the current or the next, from sliding their card or starting a transaction until the cashier initiates one.

• ScanMaster - The OpenEPS function has been changed to eliminate the POS terminals from receiving from OpenEPS unmasked credit/debit card data during transaction processing

• Support Pay By Touch with ScanMaster Frequent Shopper only

• ScanMaster - Ability to accept a partial tender approval from ScanMaster V2 OpenEPS
• ISS45 - In-house gift cards – delay recharge until end of order at tender
• ISS45 - Add support for EBT/WIC program Version 8.1.2.1 only

• Texas/New Mexico EBT/WIC certified for ISS45 (only)
• FSA with 8.1.2.1-070 patch and V7.1.2.1-050 and SM 2.5.0-050

• Secure Socket Layer (SSL) communication has been added. WinEPS and OpenEPS both must be updated to this release
• Triple DES Encryption support for Everest PIN pads only applicable on models ending in -1X
• ECC text (using WinEPS receipts) has been updated to comply with the latest NACHA requirements
• Terminal Operating System version data is captured and sent to WinEPS for all terminals that supply data.
• System has been enhanced to instruct the PIN pad to use a specific DUKPT key slot number to encrypt the PIN data for specific transactions
• Encryption support of track 2 data on Hypercom  4150 and 4250 PIN pads - the 4100 Pin Pad encryption is not supported at this time by Hypercom
• Addressed stack overflow errors that would cause the system to shut down

• ISS45 8160-080 and forward (also including 8.1.5.2-050, 8.1.5.4-050, 8.1.6.0-050 etc.) REQUIRES this WinEPS release or later.  ISS45 8160-080 and subsequent releases are not compatible with any earlier WinEPS releases.

• ScanMaster 2.07.02-050 and forward (2.07.02-050, 2.08.00-050, 2.09.00-050 etc.)  REQUIRES this WinEPS release.  ScanMaster 2.07.02-050 and subsequent releases are not compatible with any earlier WinEPS releases.

• 827.2 SP1 is required for support of the Equinox L5300 and L5200 PIN pads.
