Datalogic 9800i and Other Scanner/Scale Updates

The 9800i configurations and pricing is included in this updated Datalogic Scanning Reference and Pricing Bulletin.  The 9800i information is being provided now although full certification with ISS45 and ScanMaster is still in process and expected to be completed shortly.

There have been changes to the way in which education is provided by IBM under the ISR Program with StoreNext.  Now, you request courses via a contact e-mail and receive the CDs in the mail (the old method was via the Web only.  The process has been written down in the modified IBM Program Bulletin, now on the Web site.

This update regarding the recent Magellan 8200’s field issues and response has been provided by Datalogic to help StoreNext dealers manage their installed base and any required repairs.  We have been told by dealers working with this StoreNext Assistance Program that Datalogic has been very responsive, and we encourage all StoreNext dealers to read Datalogic’s memo and use the program that is being offered.

Hypercom L4150 Released

Here's the official pricing and some new programs around the Hypercom payment terminals.  Most important, we can now key-inject all your terminals, and there's a new "Advanced Exchange" program for spare-in-the-air with pre-injected replacements.  Note that the L4150 requires OpenEPS 825, which is now released for Connected Payments and available to all under Customer Trial for the full in-store WinEPS.  See the Marketing Bulletins Page.

New Retalix Store/HQ Application Support Toolkit

Retalix has put together a new toolkit - a collection of documents from the Support group that they feel are most useful to software support personnel for Retalix Store And HQ.  The toolkit also contains useful documentation that support has created for common questions.  POS eXchange, JRS, and RTI are included, and the plan is to update it quarterly.  You'll find it also on the Services Page.

Oneac Extended Free Unit and New Pricing

We've extended the Buy-10-get-1-Free Oneac offer across all Oneac products.  These really are the best products out there, and proved to save dealers maintenance trips even when compared to using competing brands.  There's also new pricing: some items are down, but some are up (only slightly however) due to the higher costs of battery products across the industry over the past 12 months.  See the updated bulletin.

PSC - Datalogic Merger and Organization

Famima FamilyMart Story

A new type of specialty food store — with Asian flair and fresh gourmet food — is emerging in the United States as FAMIMA Corp. brings its FamilyMart stores to an “Amerasian” audience hungry for its offerings."  And, of course, this headed-for-250-store group is using StoreNext Connected Services - CStar, CIH and Connected DSD.  Not bad!  Congratulations to RMS in California.

Retalix Store and HQ Software Maintenance and Support

This Update describes the change of SMS policy for Retalix Store and HQ regarding the installation date that can now be provided by a dealer.

CIH and Connected DSD Now for ScanMaster Too

New versions of Connected Item Hosting and Connected DSD support ScanMaster as well as ISS45.  Here's the new and updated Connected Services Reference with the new PINs, prices and the rest of the story.

Retalix Store and HQ Order Form Updated

This order form now contains an “Install Date” - if you provide this date then your Software Maintenance and Support will start on the first of the month following that install date.  If the install date is not completed, SMS charges will start on the first of the month following the ship date for the software. 

Updated Training Materials for Retalix Store

These are the superb training materials for Retalix store, providing both the User materials and the Teaching Guides.  These are big files, but worth (but don't download unless you're authorized with the password).  For the new version 5.3_2 as well as an updated 4.1_8 set.

Another Very Interesting Issue

In-Store's articles have progressively changed to more in-depth discussions of key, critical retail issues - especially for grocery stores.  This month's issue provides a look at SuperValu's new "avenu" in-store media system, designed to introduce new products, win brand loyalty and generate revenue all while targeting specific shopper segments.  There's a very interesting study of "internet user DNA" - based on research done by Yahoo on registrations, Campaigns and On-Line behavior of shoppers on the Internet.  Good stuff.  The other large article of note provides a clear, straightforward and useful introduction to "segmentation."  One time through this, and the next time some jerk with an MBA at a cocktail party starts going off on "market segmentation" you can put him back in his BMW where he belongs.  Lots of other stuff too.

Hypercom Program Changes

See the Update Bulletin explaining two important changes in StoreNext's Hypercom program, withdrawing the L4200 (the $20 price difference doesn't justify two separate product lines) and suspending the key injection service pending an improved and streamlined process.  The Reference Bulletin has been updated to provide full information.
