Datalogic 9800i and Other Scanners

The 9800i configurations and pricing is included in this updated Datalogic Scanning Reference and Pricing Bulletin.  The 9800i information is being provided now although full certification with ISS45 and ScanMaster is still in process and expected to be completed shortly.

There have been changes to the way in which education is provided by IBM under the ISR Program with StoreNext.  Now, you request courses via a contact e-mail and receive the CDs in the mail (the old method was via the Web only.  The process has been written down in the modified IBM Program Bulletin, now on the Web site.

Retalix has put together a new toolkit - a collection of documents from the Support group that they feel are most useful to software support personnel for Retalix Store And HQ.  The toolkit also contains useful documentation that support has created for common questions.  POS eXchange, JRS, and RTI are included, and the plan is to update it quarterly.  You'll find it also on the Services Page.

Oneac Extended Free Unit and New Pricing

Retalix Store and HQ Software Maintenance and Support

This Update describes the change of SMS policy for Retalix Store and HQ regarding the installation date that can now be provided by a dealer.

Retalix Store and HQ Order Form Updated

This order form now contains an “Install Date” - if you provide this date then your Software Maintenance and Support will start on the first of the month following that install date.  If the install date is not completed, SMS charges will start on the first of the month following the ship date for the software. 

CIH and Connected DSD Now for ScanMaster Too

Updated Training Materials for Retalix Store

These are the superb training materials for Retalix store, providing both the User materials and the Teaching Guides.  These are big files, but worth (but don't download unless you're authorized with the password).  For the new version 5.3_2 as well as an updated 4.1_8 set.

Another Very Interesting Issue

In-Store's articles have progressively changed to more in-depth discussions of key, critical retail issues - especially for grocery stores.  This month's issue provides a look at SuperValu's new "avenu" in-store media system, designed to introduce new products, win brand loyalty and generate revenue all while targeting specific shopper segments.  There's a very interesting study of "internet user DNA" - based on research done by Yahoo on registrations, Campaigns and On-Line behavior of shoppers on the Internet.  Good stuff.  The other large article of note provides a clear, straightforward and useful introduction to "segmentation."  One time through this, and the next time some jerk with an MBA at a cocktail party starts going off on "market segmentation" you can put him back in his BMW where he belongs.  Lots of other stuff too.

Independent grocers and regional chains can combine their purchasing power with similar merchants and lower costs under an agreement between Intesource Inc. and StoreNext Retail Technologies LLC.  StoreNext Connected Services users can participate in Intesource’s Collaboration and Intelligent Aggregation program – “CIA,” which enables companies to combine key annual purchasing decisions and post them for bid by prospective vendors.

WiseWay Food Centers, an Indiana-based independent grocer, has chosen StoreNext Retail Technologies LLC to upgrade its in-store technology with a seven-store rollout of Retalix HQ and Retalix Store back-office solutions. Configuring Hypercom

To configure Hypercom terminals with ISS45 at the moment, you need to order the external Hypercom power supply and cable.  With ScanMaster, you can power the terminal via a TeamPoS 24V serial port.  The reference bulletin has been updated with the new configuration information.

Solidcore-StoreNext Agreement Press Release

StoreNext’s independent grocers will be among the first store system users to enjoy relief from software viruses and other PCI security compliance concerns. Under an agreement announced today, Solidcore’s S3 Control system has been integrated with the ISS45 and ScanMaster point-of-sale systems and other StoreNext products, providing software change management and runtime protection. The combined systems will be marketed via StoreNext’s nationwide dealer network.

Newly-Updated Direct Sales Policies

The Enterprise Wholesaler Program and Sales Participation Fee program, both previously published, have now resulted in updated sections of the Dealer Policies and Procedures Manual

New Commercial Policies

StoreNext has modified a number of its commercial Policies and Procedures, bringing them into consistency and making general updates.  Over time, the old TCI Policies will be completely merged with former StoreNext policies.  Specifically for the moment, however, StoreNext has now put a Customer Evaluation policy in place and made significant changes to the Software License Transfer policy to make it much more consistent across StoreNext's software products.
