Class 2182 and Class 2186 (Compact) Cash Drawer Changes

The NCR Class 2182 compact cash drawers are being discontinued, and At the same time, NCR is also consolidating number of Class 2186 compact cash drawer PIDs to simplify this offering, which is the go-forward compact cash drawer class. Neither of these classes are commonly used in North American grocery deployments, but please contact your CAM for additional details if your orders or customers may be affected.

As you can imagine, this was an ambitious undertaking but they should prove tremendously helpful. Fujitsu Cancels NCR U-Scan Software Support

Fujitsu has notified NCR that it has canceled the long-standing support agreement that allowed NCR to provide single-point U-Scan software support for the NCR Channel Partner installed U-Scan base. NCR appealed this decision, but without success. Click below for details.

RealPOS Wireless Adapters Withdrawn

NCR is withdrawing the wireless external USB 802.11 WiFi adapter kits (NCR-2330-K373) that had been available for attachment to NCR e-Boxes.   The final ship date is July 15, but if you need some, contact ScanSource or BlueStar, since distributors may have remaining inventory. This item will be removed from future Pricing and Configuration bulletin issues as they are released.

How To Get ENCOR Keys to Finalize ISS45+ABO Pre-Buy Installs

With ENCOR now in general release, customers are looking to replace the temporary ISS45+ABO Pre-Buy deployments with "true" ENCOR.  There is no charge to upgrade the initial ISS45 HASP key to enable ENCOR, but an e-mail key upgrade is needed.  Here's how to get this done.  The details have been added to the ENCOR Pre-Buy bulletin - just click for it, or find it later on the Updates/Announcements Page (or the ENCOR All-In-One Page).

Important - ENCOR Installation Update

The ENCOR WIN_MTX and WIN_US install folders have been updated.  As per the updated Installation and Setup guides, download and use those new installs installs from the FTP, not from the original ISOs.  See the new installation guides below.

Arkansas eWIC Account Number Truncation - Technical Bulletin

This technical bulletin provides a work-around to the continued truncation of Arkansas eWIC HCL (Hot Card List) account numbers.  The recent 8181-110 patch release fixes this problem, but any files that had been incorrectly processed BEFORE the fix need some hand-holding to reprocess correctly.
