HOT!  V7 EOD File Change for 1/1/10

With the year 2010 fast approaching you need to be aware of a change to the file names that are created during the EOD process with ISS45 V7. This change took effect more than 10 years ago as a part of Year 2000 application change requirements. The change will affect applications or batch files that look for specific file names. For example, if you have written applications or batch files that look for specific file names — such as TRA*.ZIP — your application or batch file will fail as of January 1 when the system dates roll over to the year 2010.  See this Issue 2 of the Quick Reference document.

Solidcore License Changes

As we published in November, Solidcore is now available for purchase on new ISS45 and ScanMaster systems as well as installed systems.  The program that provided Solidcore licenses at no charge is no longer available.  Please see the updated Solidcore Pricing bulletin on the Reference Bulletin Page or the Solidcore All-in-One Page.

New Hypercom Pricing

Hypercom has increased prices slightly on many terminals, resulting in dealer prices going up on L4150 items by 4% or less in most cases.  Many of the L4250 prices have remained the same.  Also, a new DUKPT/Single DES encryption key is now available for Nova/Elavon systems since the special coding required by MTXEPS for T-DES to work with Nova/Elavon is not complete.  You will find the new Pricing bulletin on the Reference Bulletin Page or the Hypercom All-in-One Page.

ISS45 Fuel Course Scheduled

The ISS45 Fuel Option course (#9027) is scheduled for February 23-27 in Plano.  The fuel training will include a 1-Day certification course conducted by Allied Electronics.  Although StoreNext Dealers typically will not sell the ANDI site controller hardware, Dealers must be certified on the ANDI to understand site controller operation as it relates to the ISS45 Fuel product offering.  The cost of the course is $995 per student.  Please register via an e-mail to Lauren ([email protected].  See the special hardware requirements for attendees in the Course Catalog (new and updated for 2009) and all about registration, hotels etc. in the Education Bulletin  (also updated), available from the Education Page.

Education and Training Courses

Several service and support courses have been scheduled topics.  Remember, we reset the Education and Training Page on the Web site last year so that the course schedule will always be available on the Web Page itself instead of your having to wait for updated documents.  Also, there's a new Course Catalog and Education and Training summary bulletin.  It's all on the Education Page.

Enhancement Requests

Use this new ER form (V15) if you want your enhancement request to be considered.  This works for all products, from ISS45 to ScanMaster to RBO to Connected Payments.  Don't forget, dealers can now put software enhancement requests for any StoreNext software product on a "Wish List" by marking the box on the new ER Form.  Wish List ERs will be considered for future releases at no charge, as part of the overall upgrading of the product.  Ballparks and pricing on Wish List ERs will not be provided, but Wish List ERs that make the cut will be published in the Release Table.  Dealers must fill out only the top information section and the Enhancement Summary and Rationale: of course, the more detail you provide, the greater the likelihood that the final design will be in line with your "Wish."  You can find the enhanced Enhancement Request Form on the Enhancement Request Form Page.
