Certifications for RealPOS 60 and RealPOS 82XRT

See this new software technical bulletin describing the certification configurations for the RealPOS 60 and RealPOS 82XRT POS terminals.  Note that this information is for the original RealPOS 60: certification of the RealPOS 60 Release 2 is planned for later this month, December 2013.  There are some important notes provided here for installing successfully with ISS45, so make sure you see this.

Encryption Now in All Connected Payments; WinEPS 2014 Support

Retalix is now including Point-to-Point hardware encryption with all new Connected Payments subscriptions with no subscription price increases.  There will no longer be an option charge for P2Pe in the Criterion or the "1-2-3" subscription packages.  Just as important, existing subscribers without P2Pe can also add this important feature to their subscriptions at no charge.  This Update also confirms continued WinEPS support for 2014, and the SMS price increase for WinEPS.  See the bulletin for details, and how to update your Connected Payments customers with P2Pe.

Updated ISS45 V7-to-V8 Converter

When a Coupon Doesn't Link to a WIC CVV Item

Fujitsu Restores Warranty and Some Pricing Stability

Fujitsu has again revised its terms and conditions of sale, restoring the one-year warranty on TeamPoS POS hardware.  Most standard products will now have 60-day notice for pricing changes, but dealer forecasts will be required to ensure timely delivery of some items.  See the Update Bulletin for the details.

When a Bundle Discount Exceeds the WIC Item Value

Fujitsu TeamPoS 3600 Motherboard CPU Insulator

Fujitsu reports in this TeamPoS Hardware Bulletin that spare TeamPoS 3600 motherboards (11003499S) may be missing the CPU insulator.  This insulator is required to avoid damage and failure.  Please see the Hardware Technical Bulletins Page .

U-Scan Hardware Technical Bulletin - Genesis Top Door Stopper Spacer

Fujitsu reports on this U-Scan Hardware Bulletin that even after the introduction of the improved Top Door Stopper Arm, there have been additional reports of this arm becoming stuck under the Genesis Frame. Reference previous PSB-09-004 for details of the Stopper Arm change, but here are instructions and pictures to eliminate the problem.  It's on the Hardware Technical Bulletins Page - it might be a good idea to take a quick look and see if any are important to you.

Free Workstation for ISS45 V8

Some users may prefer having a Workstation/LFS to using the traditional MFS2 backup controller with ISS45 Version 8.  This Update provides a new PIN that enables you to add an LFS/Workstation at no charge for users preferring to forego the MFS2.  See the Update.

Express Packages with NCR - Configuration and Pricing

IBM/ToshibaTEC Configuration and Pricing

The updated IBM Pricing and Configuration bulletin provides an updated set of PINs, configurations and pricing for all the primary IBM terminal packages.  Most of these terminals have been upgraded with much more RAM, disk drive space and now ship with POSReady 7.  These packages and prices are available immediately: IBM will no longer accept orders for our old packages and prices.  So get it now from the Reference Bulletins Page.

Retalix has withdrawn Express and Espresso packages based on IBM/ToshibaTEC terminal hardware.  New Express packages will be provided shortly to replace these with aggressive pricing and discounts.

RBO (still) Included with New ScanMaster and ISS45 POS

Remember that new ISS45 and ScanMaster POS licenses - including Express, Espresso and Migrations - can get RBO at no charge.  These new sites can also add DSD for a low price and even get special RBO maintenance pricing available to these new systems only.  Remind yourself with this updated Update, cleaned up with the obsolete information removed and the relevant stuff clarified: on the Updates and RBO All-in-One pages.

ScanMaster Configuration and Pricing

This issue updates the lane pricing for the ScanMaster POS licenses, now providing the same price (averaged between the previous extremes) for ScanMaster lanes with and without DynaKey. Remember - new ScanMaster licenses also include RBO too, at no additional charge.  The bulletin also removes the Pervasive database items and provides other minor updates - get it from the Reference Bulletins Page or the ScanMaster all-in-one Page.

Fujitsu has modified its pricing, terms and conditions, affecting all Fujitsu products sold by Retalix Channel Partners.  The warranty period has been dramatically reduced, and prices may now change on very short (or no) notice.  Please read this bulletin immediately.

Withdrawn: TeamPoS-Based Express and Espresso Packages

Effective immediately, Retalix has withdrawn Express and Espresso packages based on Fujitsu TeamPoS terminal hardware.  See the bulletin (same bulletin as above).

HOT - ISS45 8160-120

This ISS45 hot patch fixes a DLL problem introduced by 8060-110 that prevented viewing the electronic journal.  Data was NOT corrupted, but it could not be seen.  This update provides the corrected DLL but otherwise the same functions as 8160-110.

PCI Implementation Guide for Connected Payments

This guide has been updated and explains how Connected Payments should be implemented at user sites to ensure PCI compliance.  It's on the PCI Page or the Connected Payments All-In-One Page.  Oh - and remember, the PCI Assessment Guide is there for you too - a great document for minimizing customer concerns and issues with QSAs. 

Connected Payments Compatibility Matrix

The WinEPS Compatibility Matrix has been expanded to include Connected Payments compatibility information.  This table now provides the ScanMaster and ISS45 POS releases that are certified or required with the standard OpenEPS releases currently used with Connected Payments.  Note that the Connected Payments OpenEPS releases are use a different numbering scheme than the WinEPS OpenEPS versions: the CP releases use odd-numbered release nomenclature after the dot, while the WinEPS versions use even numbers.  See the new matrix, which is available from the Support Menu, the Connected Payments or WinEPS All-In-One Page or directly available via the Site Menu at left.
