IBM: Retail Tough

Why get a real POS terminal from IBM instead of a local white box?  Your customers need proof, so as part of your engagements, show your customers the IBM Retail Tough Landing Page that features IBM's latest "retail-hardened" video and white paper.  Each sales tool describes the rigorous tests IBM systems must go through before they are given IBM "retail-hardened" stamp of approval.

HOT!  V7 EOD File Change for 1/1/10

With the year 2010 fast approaching you need to be aware of a change to the file names that are created during the EOD process with ISS45 V7. This change took effect more than 10 years ago as a part of Year 2000 application change requirements. The change will affect applications or batch files that look for specific file names. For example, if you have written applications or batch files that look for specific file names — such as TRA*.ZIP — your application or batch file will fail as of January 1 when the system dates roll over to the year 2010.  See this Issue 2 of the Quick Reference document.
