NCR Order Processing Recess Ending Monday January 16

NCR expects to end the annual order processing recess and restart processing by Monday, January 16.  During the recess, orders are not processed, invoiced or shipped.  New orders have been held, and will be processed when operations re-open.

NCR will start its annual recess for order processing after December 28 this year.  During the recess, orders are not processed, invoiced or shipped.  New orders are held until operations re-open the third week of January, so Channel Partners needing products before the end of January are strongly encouraged to place all orders as soon as possible.

PocketOffice (RPO) on New Datalogic Falcon X3+ Firmware

The current PocketOffice version 2.12.20-050 will load but not run on Falcon X3+ units with firmware version 1.97.075. This firmware has been installed as the Datalogic factory standard in Falcon X3+ models manufactured during and after May 2016. ENCOR Pricing and Migration Offers

Time Running Short on Connected Payments Deadline

The time remaining to complete the Connected Payments requirement for ENCOR migrations has become very short. As NCR has stated for the past several months, only sites that are live on Connected Payments/ServerEPS by January 1, 2017 will be eligible for the special ENCOR migration pricing from ScanMaster, ACS, ACS-IR or ISS45. Channel Partners are advised to immediately contact any customers still using WinEPS or other payment mechanisms: they must deploy Connected Payments by the end of the year to secure migration eligibility for that site. 

2017 SMS and SWM for Channel Partner Products

With the sole exception of ACS/ACS-IR, 2017 SMS/SWM will not increase, and stay the same as 2016.  Meanwhile, the ENCOR release will dramatically reduce the cost of POS/Back-Office combinations. No-Charge is No-Charge: NCR has eliminated the $35 Key Service Fee for ISS45 and ScanMaster software orders that consist entirely of no-charge items.  You should no longer include this item on any purchase orders.  The key REPLACEMENT Service Fee ($75) remains as-is.  Please click the Announcement for details and handling any P.O.s in process that could be affected.  It's also on the Updates and Announcements Page.

ScanMaster EMV Transaction Reversals

After implementing EMV, ScanMaster 2.09.00-140+ sites using signature capture with a Verifone 915MX payment terminal must have the ERC and host options correctly set.  Otherewise, some transactions may be reversed if a shopper prematurely removes the EMV card from the PIN pad.  This Technical Bulletin provides the simple instructions to ensure the necessary settings are correct. Price Changes for NCR Retail Software

Prices for NCR retail software, including ISS45, ScanMaster and ACS, will increase on April 1.  The pricing premium for software-only orders (POS software without simultaneous e-box purchases) will be eliminated. This will be the first ISS45 increase in ten years.  Details are provided in this announcement.

ISS45 V8 Leap Year End-of-Month Setting

"With great flexibility comes great responsibility."  ISS45 V8 parameters enable users full control over their preferred end-of-month accounting dates, but every four years customers that normally use February 28 will prefer their leap-year February EOM date reset to February 29.  And then in March, back again to the 28th so no one forgets.  Here's a quick technical bulletin with the advice and easy method.

Support Sunset for ISS45 8160

With the September release of ISS45 8180 and the usual 90-day grace period completed, support for ISS45 8160 is withdrawn.  For inquiries, assistance, faults, incidents, fixes and enhancements NCR supports the up-level releases of ISS45 8180 (current) and 8170 (one major release back).  See the Technical Bulletin for details, or remind yourself later with a trip to the Technical Bulletins Page.

The ISS45 Crib Sheet quick-reference utility gives you the entire history of ISS45 features and fixes and when they were put into the software.  With a quick lookup, you can instantly find in which release a feature was introduced - or when a fault was addressed.  It's just been updated with the latest releases: it's there for you on the Crib Sheet Page.
